Seed Starting with Jiffy®️ Peat Pellets allows for stronger root growth, easy transplanting, and cost savings vs. buying plants. Our fine netting is derived from cornstarch, a renewable resource. The netting allows for root aeration and makes transplanting easy; plant pellet and all!
The 36mm pellet size is perfect for your flowers and small-rooted vegetables and herbs. Peat is special because not only can it retain 20 times its weight in water (which helps keep fragile seedlings moist but not drowned), it also aerates and improves soil drainage allowing roots to breathe, grow and better absorb nutrients.
The greenhouse humidity dome allows seeds to stay moist and time for germination.
Jiffy® peat moss is responsibly sourced from Canadian peatland that is restored after harvest.
